The Gateau St Honore is named after the French patron saint of baker and pastry chefs St Honore of Honoratus (d 600AD), Bishop of Amiens. It was invented at the Chiboust Bakery on Rue St Honore in Paris in 1847. This traditional dessert is a ring of puff pastry with small choux dipped in caramel attached to the ring and filled with a creme chibouste (creme patissiere lightened with meringue).
Contains eggs, dairy, and gluten.
PLEASE NOTE: The appearance of cakes and other items may differ slightly from the website photos, due to the creative licence of the chef, but the taste and appearance still remain of the highest standard.
